Shipping and returns
What it costs, how long it takes, and what happens if it is not right.
Made to order
Almost everything here is cut and sewn after you buy it. Allow two to three weeks before the pair ships. Belts, socks and leather carry pieces usually go out within two business days. If a style is running longer than three weeks, we email you the day the ticket is printed.
Shipping within the United States

Transit time starts when the pair leaves Brunswick, not when you order. We ship Monday through Thursday so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend.
Canada and international
We ship to Canada at a flat $38 and to most other countries at $65, calculated at checkout. Duties, taxes and customs brokerage are the recipient's responsibility and are not collected by us. Customs can add one to three weeks; that part is out of our hands.
Returns
You have 30 days from delivery to return a pair that has not been worn outdoors. Try them on a carpet or a rug, not a sidewalk — a scuffed sole means we cannot take them back. Include the box and the dust bags.
- Write to hello@kennebechandsewn.shop with your order number and we will send a prepaid label for domestic returns.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method within five business days of the pair arriving here.
- Exchanges for a different size or width are free, domestically, once per order.
- International returns are accepted within 30 days but the return postage is yours, and duties already paid are not refundable by us.
Sale and seconds
Pairs bought off the seconds rack or at a marked-down price are returnable for store credit rather than a refund. The reason for the second is listed on the product page before you buy.
Damaged or wrong
If a pair arrives damaged, or is not the pair on your order, tell us within seven days and we will fix it at our cost, including shipping both ways.
Warranty
We stand behind the making for one year: stitching, lasting, bottoming, hardware. Normal wear on soles, heels, laces and the patina of leather is not a defect. Send photos to hello@kennebechandsewn.shop and we will tell you whether it is a warranty repair, a paid repair, or past saving.
